Have been using Ikea furniture for 20+ yrs. Keep our style consistent too. Recently re-organized our home, moved furniture around & recycled old pieces, e.g. BILLY shelf boards as long table behind the couch & shorten the TROMSO loft bed. Only spent HK$5-600 for new pieces: 1 PAX, 2 EXPEDIT, 1 BILLY, 1 matress, fabrics, beddings and lots of misc. small stuff).

don't mine the small space, make good use of every space; keep the style clean; be creative = think out of the box, google for inspiration; use furnitures in an unusual way, recycle anything, purchase things that you only need; keep your budget low, this would help to squeeze the creative mind out of your head. :)
